The boater is just below the slide/ramp on Vortex that opens up (for kayaks) above about 1100 cfs. The flow on this day was about 1500 cfs at Kernville. Many kayakers like to "cheat" the ledge a few feet below this point on the far left, but the line down the ramp and then the move left above the ledge can be tricky.
